Where We Come From
Before Sayang Fresh, there was Cik Man’s small weekend fruit stall at Pasar Pagi Taman Melati, KL, a familiar neighbourhood morning market which he had already been there for almost nine years.
It was where one of our founders spent weekends helping Cik Man sell freshly cut MD2 pineapple and blended pineapple juice.
Initially, it was simply as a way to earn some extra pocket money.
But those weekends became more than just part-time work.
Being there, speaking with customers and seeing familiar faces return week after week gave us a first-hand look at how much people valued fresh fruit that was convenient, approachable and prepared right in front of them.
It was also where many of the early conversations, observations and ideas that would eventually shape Sayang Fresh began.
Sayang Fresh didn’t exist yet, but this is where the idea started to take shape. 🍍
Why We’re Here
What we saw at that little market stall stayed with us.
People already loved fresh fruit. The opportunity wasn’t to convince them otherwise it was to find a better way of making fruits and vegetables easier to enjoy in everyday life.
That curiosity eventually led us to cold-pressing, new ingredients, new recipes and a simple principle that still guides Sayang Fresh today:
Real fruits and vegetables. No unnecessary additions. Made fresh and made easier to enjoy.
We’re not here to make juice feel like a luxury or promise that one bottle will change your life.
We simply want to make choosing something fresh a little easier, more often.
Where We’re Going
From one neighbourhood, hopefully to many more.
Our ambition is bigger today, but the idea remains the same: stay fresh, stay approachable and grow without losing the trust that got us here.
We’re working towards our first permanent home, stronger food-safety and production standards, and eventually a network that brings Sayang Fresh closer to more communities across Klang Valley.
